Firstly, a pessimist is someone who looks on the negative side. The glass if half empty. That sort of thing. Optimists are people like Carly, who always see that sun behind the clouds. xD

And secondly, there is a fine line between reality and what we know as dreams. If we're going to talk Existentialism and the Platonic Theory, we better move this conversation to a different topic.

But I will just say this: The future is vast, and many of us look at graduation as saying sayonara to our teenage fun and moving into the dull world of adults. That's not true. We can make our futures anything we want. Life isn't about finding yourself, it's about creating.

My future? I am going to go to an art college in a big city somewhere far from here. I'm going to get my masters and major in english, finding a job as an english professor. Bella and I have decided we'll stick together, and move to San Francisco or Boston. I'm going to keep cosplaying through all of this. I'm not getting married. Men are unnecessary. A relationship will only tie me down from accomplishing what I wish to. I am not having kids. I may later adopt, but that is just a slight notion. I am going to splatter paint one room in my house. Bella and I are going to live together, and I want a pet manatee. Those are my plans.

My future:

I will celebrate my graduation from high school by beating up the people who have given me total hell (Dear God, that's about a hundred people!!!). After that I will drag Myobi with me to college (preferably RIT so we can go to Tora-Con every year) and will major in Japanese and maybe something else as well. Like philosophy or a writing/drawing class. When college is done, Myobi will go to Japan and drag me with her (no complaints) to go produce her manga. While she is doing this, I will be translating her work into Japanese, writing the soundtrack to the anime, voicing for the anime, and doing all the housework. All the while I will be cherishing my easy access to Pocky, Taiyaki, and Daifuku. Maybe by some crazy chance I'll become a singer... that would be really nice.......

My grandma's new neighbor moved here from Japan: Junko. She could hook you up in Tokyo, since she lived there and all! Senior year my grandma, mom, and Junko want to take me to Japan.. not that I'm protesting. XD
And you probably already know this, but there's this program for seniors who know a foreign language. You go to the country of the language you know and teach english. Usually it's Japan or China. You should definitely look into it. You live there for a year, and decide whether you'd like to stay and finalize your job, or move back to America. It sounded really awesome; :O

holy crap. Sign me up! and if I'm not living with you, i'm renting the damn place next to you in Japan!!
