Spending money in this house is different. It all goes towards necessities. No way we'd spend 51 dollars on "feel-good" clothes. It's a lot of cash to us.

As a child, I don't have necessities. I save up my money, and my parents buy the food, clothing, etc. So yeah, I don't even buy my own clothing. Unless it's something I want but my parents think is impractical-- then I buy it with my own saved-up money.

Saved up money for me usually ends up going to lunch. All my clothes were given to me by my "Aunt". Necessities are, in fact, clothes and rent. It takes me two weeks of chores and both my Mom's and my Dad's in order to save up enough for manga. Which I have given up on purchasing because Tora-con is relatively close in my time-line.
